Services
REMC 1 is a service agency to the Copper Country Intermediate School District, the Gogebic-Ontonagon Intermediate School District, and their constituent K-12 school districts in the western five counties of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Our service area encompasses 26 buildings, more than 780 teachers, and over 9,650 students. REMC 1 supports education by providing instructional materials, training, technical, network and Internet services to local schools and public agencies. By creating economies of scale, leading collaborative efforts, building consortiums, and providing quality services in this rural area, REMC 1 helps keep limited budget dollars available for education.
