Visnos Virtual Math Manipulatives
Visnos is an interactive math website that provides many different math tools to allow teachers to show math visually and allow students to explore with the tools.
Visnos can be used with grades one-five as there are activities for telling time, fractions, multiplication tables, subtraction facts, angles, measurement using a protractor.
- Be able to select the appropriate tool and apply it to their current learning target in math.
- Launch: To launch is to set or start in motion.
Go to the Visnos Maths Free Interactive website.
The teacher may choose to preview the selected tool for a video tutorial. This can be done by first launching the application. Next, click on the circle with the arrow in the upper right hand corner.

Note: Some apps within Visnos have connections to other apps within Visnos.
- See Accommodations Page and Charts on the 21things4students.net site in the Teacher Resources.
- The student clicks on the selected math tool in Visnos. This can be done by first launching the application.
- If a tutorial is needed on how to use the tool, click on the circle with the arrow in the upper right hand corner.
- By clicking the circle with the i a document with directions will be provided.
- The circle with the red x will close the app and bring you back to the start page.
- If needed have the students watch the video tutorial for using fractions.
- Check for understanding
- Teacher checks that the students are using the common core math practices as they use Visnos.

Students can draw a diagram of the math tool that they used.
Teacher can have students present a question connected to math and present how it is solved with visnos to the class.
