Create. Invent. Make. Learn.
REMC Classroom Makers (#cmakers) is a multi-year effort to provide local REMCs with maker training, curriculum and materials to be used with their districts to support and expand curricula and learning.
Classroom Makers will:
- Create a REMC Classroom Makers website with curriculum/integration resources targeted for grades 3-8.
- Equip each REMC with a "maker" kit with tools you can test in your classroom! Click here to view the tools and available support resources.
- Provide training to local REMC staff about how to integrate introductory maker kit tools and information on the maker pedagogy and philosophy.
Local REMC staff will use the provided training materials and kits to host maker training events for local districts in their service areas.
Classroom Maker tools and supplies are available for purchase through the REMC SAVE from Tierney Brothers, Office Depot and DEMCO.
