100's Day the Techie Way

Celebrate 100’s day with a bit of technology. These free online tools allow students extra enrichment when celebrating the 100th day of school.


Bees and Honey

Bees and Honey is an interactive mousing game. Students will have fun with counting and also with 1:1 correspondence. They will use mousing and clicking skills as they use the app.

  Can You Hear Me Now - Intro to Seesaw

Students will use Seesaw's built-in audio recording, drawing and caption tools to reflect on what they've learned or explained how they got their answer.


Draw It Up

Just like in real life, we can also create our own digital pictures and artwork for a variety of purposes. Using Abcya!Paint, and NickJr. Free Draw, students will become digital artists as they create artifacts, using web-based painting tools.


Earth Day Fun! With Michael Recycle

Students have some Earth Day fun learning about recycling and sorting, while reviewing important Internet browser components and keyboard keys. The students will use the Michael Michael Recycle Game to learn these concepts. 


Graphing Fuzz Bugs

Students will sort Fuzz Bugs by color into matching containers creating a bar graph. Questions are then asked requiring students to interpret the graph and enter in answers. Questions are read aloud for nonreaders.


Letters and Sounds with Starfall

Starfall is an interactive alphabet-teaching website/app. Letters are presented in a variety of ways -- visually, audibly, and within words and sentences. Students interact with letters to help with phonics as well as reading.


Math Patterns in Nature

Students will enjoy taking digital pictures of nature and finding mathematical patterns. They will create a slide show together of the pictures they have taken and identify the patterns in each one. 


Paint a Pattern

Students will use Paint, a Microsoft Windows Desktop app, to practice mouse skills, paint shapes, fill shapes using paint bucket as well as identify and create a pattern.


StoryBots Classroom is a resource for educators that includes unlimited access to hundreds of videos, books, games and activities for use on interactive whiteboards, tablets and laptops in the classroom.



Teach Your Monster To Read

Teach Your Monster to Read is a free online game that makes learning to read fun! It covers everything from letters and sounds to reading full sentences.


MITECS: Michigan adopted the "ISTE Standards for Students" called MITECS (Michigan Integrated Technology Competencies for Students) in 2018.

Empowered Learner - Students leverage technology to take an active role in choosing, achieving and demonstrating competency in their learning goals, informed by the learning sciences.

1a. Students articulate and set personal learning goals, develop strategies leveraging technology to achieve them and reflect on the learning process itself to improve learning outcomes.
1b. Students build networks and customize their learning environments in ways that support the learning process.
1c. Students use technology to seek feedback that informs and improves their practice and to demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways.
1d. Students understand the fundamental concepts of technology operations, demonstrate the ability to choose, use and troubleshoot current technologies and are able to transfer their knowledge to explore emerging technologies.
