In this activity, you will use an interactive website to learn about the following:

    • Online Safety
    • Protection against cyberbullying
    • Dealing with cyberbullying

This is a good opportunity to work with a partner.

STEPS

1. Play the video, Is it Cyberbullying? (3:11)from stopbullying.gov.

2. Select and open the link to Online & On Guard...Is it Cyberbullying? 

  • Read the information and select the “Let’s get started!” icon.

3. The first activity presents definitions of 4 types of social interactions 

  • Review each definition and think about 1. if You agree, 2. Can think of one or more examples 
  • Select “Continue button” when done

4. Each of the following 7 scenario pages will present a drag-and-drop activity. Use the "Next" button when done with each page. HINT: Have fun exploring all the answer choices (highly recommended).

5. The final step is to work with a small group to create a list for a “Bully-Free Zone Agreement”  

6. Check with your teacher about sharing your agreement with the class, and if you can print it out.
