K-12 Military Awareness & Preparation for Counselors

If you are a counselor we have you covered! We are running a special repeat opportunity to ensure all counselors are able to meet the Military Awareness & Preparation requirement.

Through our partnership with the Michigan eLibrary (MeL), we are offering training and resources that meet the needed school counselor credential requiring 5 hours professional development covering military career options.

K-12 Military Awareness & Preparation eResources in MEL will be held online July 19. This course will explore the eResources (databases) in the Michigan eLibrary available for elementary and secondary students with a keen eye toward all things related to the United States military. With rich content in PebbleGo, Britannica, eBook K-8 Collection, eBook High School Collection, Primary Search, MasterFILE Complete and LearningExpress Library, students at all levels can read, listen to and view resources to give them a better understanding of what it takes to enter each branch of the military and what the expectations are once they are accepted. This course offers 5 SCHECHs upon completion. Click here to register.

There are no registration fees for this course. For more information please contact our Professional Learning Coordinator, Melinda Waffle at melindawaffle@remc.org
