Adding images & HyperlinkS to a Google document

  1. Set a goal to learn and practice all of these skills :
    • using the Insert>Image>Search the web for images or photos
    • searching the web for public domain images and adding to your work

2. You can use these steps with any document, check with your teacher.

  • NOTE: If you are using Google Classroom and the teacher has created the assignment, they most likely have chosen the option to Copy to all Students. You will automatically see your name and the name of the assignment on your document. If not, ‘Make a copy’ and rename the document.

In general you must:

  • Cite the AI tool or the outputs from the tools when you use them in your work. This includes direct quotations, images, and data, as well as paraphrased content.
  • If you use an AI tool for some other purpose, such as translating, editing, or generating an outline, include a note about this somewhere in your paper.
  • Most view AI-generated content as a source with no author, so you'll use the title of the source in your in-text citations, and in your reference list.

***Remember AI may be using created citations, sources, and information that is not accurate. It is best to check the sources from one or more primary sources.

AI Image exploration ACTIVITY

Check with your teacher, as many districts and AI applications restrict the use of AI resources to students by age. Most require parental/guardian permission to access AI resources for students 13 or older, and in some cases to 18 and older. Some schools have made arrangements for the use of AI resources in the classroom.

You are welcome to use this alternative 4.QG4 AI Image Exploration document.

  1. Copy or download the document.
  2. Follow the directions in the document to create your own AI image.
  3. Make sure you cite the AI resource properly. 
  4. When done, hand in your assignment to your teacher.
